The four day regional training of trainers on Men talking to Men to combat violence against women was organized on April 15-17, 2010 in
Combating Gender Based Violence Project in cooperation with UNFPA CO, the XXI Century without VAW project, the State Committee on Family, Women and Children’s Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Azerbaijan Cinematography Foundation initiated second series of the documentary contest entitled “Azerbaijani Family: past, present, future” first held in 2009.

UNFPA’s Combating Gender Based Violence in Azerbaijan Project and State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized two-days training on organizing, running, monitoring and evaluating the crisis centers for women - victims of domestic violence.
Combating Gender Based Violence in Azerbaijan Project (UNFPA) organized three day training course on “Media coverage of gender based violence: principles and standards” aimed at increasing the journalists’ awareness on GBV and providing the journalists with important theoretical and practical knowledge that has the potential to play an enormous role in improving the quality of stories regarding GBV and women’s rights.
UNFPA’s Combating Gender Based Violence in Azerbaijan Project has launched the conduction of information sessions on gender based violence (GBV) in the frame of the project’s public awareness activities. Several target groups (13-year old young girls, 18-28 year old young boys and teachers) are expected to be educated on common gender issues, gender sensitivity, gender based discrimination and GBV through the sessions to be held during three months period.
