This module of the project constitutes one of the strongest components of overall project activities. The major goal is to raise awareness of the representatives of the national machinery on gender and gender based violence as well as to equip the participants with concrete knowledge, tools and strategies in order to support the victims of GBV through the services to be provided at centers/shelters as well as via hotlines.
The training was held in June 2009. Thus, through this training the national machinery staff was trained in the development of National Strategy, development of the Guidelines and Modules for the operations of Victim Crisis Centres and their implementation. The team of international experts with extensive experience in conducting similar educational sessions conducted these trainings. The participants of the training were predominantly from the State Committee on Family, Women and Children’s Affairs. In addition there were also the representatives of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Ministry of Youth and Sport, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, Ombudsman Office.
