The major purpose of the Public Campaign is to increase awareness and knowledge of general public with regard to gender based violence and gender equality. Various PSAs as well as documentaries conveying the messages on gender equality and domestic violence to be aired on national TV channels have been produced within the frames of the campaign. In addition to this, the publication of various awareness materials including newsletters, leaflets, calendars, etc. and wide dissemination of the findings of quantitative and qualitative research are among the major components of the Public Campaign. Particular attention in this respect is paid to the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence” campaign that commences on the 25th of November and runs until 10th of December each year.
