Combating Gender Based Violence project (CGBV) implemented under the auspices of the UNFPA/Azerbaijan Program represents one of the pilot efforts aimed at creating an enabling environment for reducing gender based violence (GBV) in the country in order to ensure effective protection and promotion of women’s rights and fundamental freedoms as well as foster gender equality and women’s participation in decision making processes. The program aims at promoting understanding and respect for women’s rights in Azerbaijan through series of interrelated activities aiming at achieving gender equality via gender sensitive initiatives undertaken in the field of policy and legislation, awareness raising, advocacy as well as research.
 

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is an international development agency that promotes the The Project’s General Public Awareness campaign aims at increasing awareness and knowledge of the target population about GBV in Azerbaijan. Acknowledging the existence of domestic violence (DV) will be the first step toward breaking the silence often surrounding GBV related issues in Azerbaijani society.In this connection the CGBV Project seeks the services of Professional Associations/Media Agencies to produce a Public service announcement (PSA) addressing the negative impact of DV.

Name of Services to be Provided: Production of Public service announcement “Say NO to violence
against women in Azerbaijan”

Strategic Objectives to be addressed within the project activities:

The purpose of the subject assignment is to produce a Public service announcement (PSA) addressing the negative impact of DV. The PSA will be aired at national and regional TV channels in Azerbaijan within the frames of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign. The agency selected for the implementation of the subject assignment will be responsible for every aspect of PSA production including the following:
 creating the script of the PSA targeting DV in
Azerbaijan;
 managing all technical details;
 managing the work of the other production staff and delegating tasks accordingly to realize the final product;
 regular reporting to CGBV PCU on production progress;
 ensuring that the PSA is filmed in the following format:
- PSA length should be 50-90 seconds
- PSA should employ animated graphics with 3D effect
- PSA should have voice-over narration
- PSA should have copyright citation and logos of all agencies involved
Deliverables:
 1 PSA
 High quality equipment at all stages of production
 High quality of image and sound
 PSA should be produced in Azerbaijani with English subtitles Office/Project “Combating gender based violence in Azerbaijan (SC)”
